This graphically work made in the technique of "Drypoint": is a printmaking process in which a design is drawn on a metal plate with a sharp, pointed needle-like instrument.
As a result, barbs (burrs) appear on the plate, which then hold the paint.
Printing takes place on moistened paper, there is an almost three-dimensional image.
This technology causes a limited number of prints, because the barbs crumple quickly. To make a new print, the artist can add other colors and their shades to the matrix plate, so each copy is unique and unique.
Neither etching nor other flat printing give such a soft, airy image…
