Vaisberg Matviy


Born December 28, 1958 (Kyiv).

Ukrainian painter, graphic artist, and book artist.

He graduated from the Taras Shevchenko and the Ukrainian Polygraphic Institute (Department of Book Graphics).

Since the mid-80's he has participated in numerous exhibitions in Ukraine and abroad.

He illustrated the books of Sholom Aleichem, E. Bagritsky, I. Babel, G. Kanovich, H. Ortega y Gasset, KG Jung, S. Kierkegaard, F. Dostoevsky, and Roth.

Vaisberg's paintings and graphics are collected in museums in Ukraine, Italy, Germany, the USA, Great Britain, Israel and in private collections of collectors of many countries of the world.

On June 29, 2009, at the Phillips de Pury & Company auction in London, Vaisberg's work "The Penultimate Sky-II" was sold.

The artist lives and works in Kyiv.
